New, no concerns about that, though not sure how Oris watches come BNIB from AD—case itself wrapped but no protective peel on case back.
There’s a small scratch on the corner edge of the lug from someone placing or removing the strap...not significant enough that it’s worth fighting over IMO...
I suppose it you’re ordering a high dollar piece i’d select FedEx and pay a little extra vs the usual UPS ground, which was free...wasn't concerned given the dollar value.
Ultimately if the price is good enough to offset the lack of AD-purchased warranty I suppose it’s up to you. I’d prefer AD or the reputable private dealers on OF more than a large online entity like Jomashop in terms of customer service, responsiveness and feedback, but for certain things the price and variety is right.
Keeping the Oris for now, will report back if I have to claim the Jomashop warranty.

Sorry...topic derailment coming...Nice looking Oris! Been looking at a more reasonable watch that I can take on overseas trips without the worry.

Not too familiar with Oris, what model is that? I presume it is the Valjoux/ETA 7750 based movement? It looks good, caught my eye

    Sellitta (sw200 / eta2824).
    Never owned one until now.
There are several versions of the oris 65 diver, most 42mm i think. I chose the "bronze bezel" for it's size 40mm size and vintage style (subtle rose gold accent on hands and bronze bezel) and the more subtle date at 6:00.
there's a 36mm with date at the 3:00 position, but the 40 feels small enough on the wrist, especially with the tapering/small tropical strap --looks better on a nice leather strap or even a NATO but i chose the rubber strap for reasons of water: I'm always at the pool with the kids and while this thing is only WR to 100 meters, i'm not going deeper than 10, let alone 1 or 2, and wanted a small vintage looking diver over a monstrous Seiko.

Have had an old Luminox for ~10 years (Tritium going strong!) but starting to show signs of water damage...wanted an upgrade but not something that would break the bank or that'd i'd be upset over if my children damaged. retail is ~$2k, slightly more than the standard diver 65 with the more prominent 12/3/6/9, but can be found at several non-AD-outlets for ~$1500.

Wears very small and discrete, will be my pool/beach watch.

Purchased a Seiko and the dial head an error. Honest mistake or a factory second? I will never know. Inspect the merchandise carefully.
