PSA: More scammers sending PM's. Don't do deals off site with someone you don't know.

Based on the unsolicited calls and emails that I've received from "representatives" at the IRS, Social Security Administration, PayPal, Justice Department, FBI, various auto warranty providers, etc., all of whom speak with a heavy foreign accent and can't spell to save their lives, I have concluded that these are some of the dumbest people on the planet and that they are simply incapable of getting or holding onto a real job. But I do enjoy wasting as much of their time as I possibly can on the calls. The last guy I spoke with got angry when I gave him a Social Security number with only 6 digits. I told him that I was one of the first to get one so I had a lower number. 😁
These people rely on getting the <1% of the population that falls for these scams. That's how all mass marketing works. These crooks aren't dumb, they just prey on the slice of the public that is gullible at the particular instant they are contacted. Look at all the people that get scammed in financial gimmicks, they usually aren't stupid people and they usually aren't the most vulnerable, but the idea of a 'good deal' overwhelms their BS detector. I don't give these clowns an opportunity to contact me, if I don't recognize the phone call or email message it just gets ignored. Once you interact with these guys it signals to them that there is a 'live one' on the other end and just opens you up to more pitches in the future.

Because they victimize the most vulnerable in society and I really enjoy wasting their time and getting them angry and frustrated. I like to think of it as public service. 😀
These usually aren't the most vulnerable, just the most gullible. Big difference.

Hi Mods! I got a DM from a certain deboragreen09 answering a WTB I have. I noticed the said DM has been deleted after a while. I assume this user is a scammer? Thanks!

The other day I tried to open my inbox as the indication of a new message was active, when I clicked to open the inbox the “alerting cat” appeared with some security warning message - is this a built in feature to prevent scams?

When we nuke scammers all of their PMs go with them, that’s why they try to include email because they know our system removes them and their messages entirely
