Dear all.
I have found the below watch but am wary of buying due to fakes and Frankenstein’s out there.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Hi
It looks fine to me. The mesh bracelet is with extension piece. There are normal sign of use. Apart from the red button needs replacement, overall case condition is good. Good catch. Of cours, now comes to the price. Good luck !

I have had a few of these over the years and this one looks good to me.

I particularly like the squared off hour hand which is just like the last one I had.

A few years back I had a protracted email debate with Omega in Switzerland over the squared off hour hand as they originally refused to put it back into my Ploprof stating that it was not original to the watch. After many weeks and much debate they eventually climbed down, acknowledged that some Ploprofs did have this hand and put it back.

This was one of the reasons that I switched to STS.

I have inquired about this watch. I really like the blunt hour hand. Owner isn't very forthcoming with answers which is of concern. The watch is a pain to service and I never got a straight answer. I would not meet his price without it running top notch and psssing a prsssure test with all new gaskets.

Thank you. The same piece?

Yeah, same place. I think it is overpriced, but I was willing to pay if it had been serviced. Dude acted like I wanted a blood sample from his first born. LOL. It was a yes or no question.

There are obviously some tritium examples of that dial. Maybe a 1980-90 replacement or fitted to the last produced ploprofs?

Not to hijack the thread but I've always wondered how these feel on the wrist; they look like it would feel like wearing a brick.

Surprisingly they are very comfortable to wear due to clever profiling of the case. They are actually quite slim (relatively) as well. I love them.

A lot lighter and more comfortable than the modern reedition
