Surprisingly they are very comfortable to wear due to clever profiling of the case. They are actually quite slim (relatively) as well. I love them.

Thanks Dash1, I've never worn one or even handled one so assumed they were bulky.

A lot lighter and more comfortable than the modern reedition

I do know someone who bought the re-edition wore it a few times and then listed it for sale saying it was the most ill fitting watch he ever owned. I based my assumption on the vintage pieces on his experience.

Not to hijack the thread but I've always wondered how these feel on the wrist; they look like it would feel like wearing a brick.
They wear really wide and flat. Super comfortable.

I have to say I'm surprised to read that these are comfortable to wear. They look fantastic and being comfy is a bonus.

I think the dial is legit. Hands are service. But I prefer them. Love the blunt hour hand.

When you bend your wrist back, the crown will dig into your wrist to be honest. But that's rare.

They wear very well. I actually have the modern and vintage and both are very comfortable. I have worn my modern ploprof for 30 days straight.

They seem to be difficult for most to service. Haven't had one yet which had all the seals in the right place, some have had no seals apart from one in the crown. The 1002 movement was not successful and production was stopped after only about two years. Most of the Ploprofs out there have them though. They suffer from a few issues which often relate to lack of servicing and the inherent design faults. Whenever I look at a Ploprof for sale I assume it's not waterproof and that it runs like crap. Am yet to be proven wrong 😉

I believe they are very comfortable to wear though!

Sorry I ought to clarify, the 1002 can be made to run properly, it just takes a bit of extra effort and patience. The barrel slip spring is no longer available either. Omega specified treating a fair proportion of the movement with epilame and that was where a fair bit of the trouble came from I think.

I’m gonna like your reply because I don’t think I’ve worn any watch for 30 days straight. And I really feel like one should.

Yup. I have a few serviced over the years. A real headache.

I'm genuinely happy that I cannot afford one of these because your guy's pictures are killing me right now 😀
