    I suspect that is a replacement dial and wasn’t fitted in period. I could be wrong but the font looks later than 68-69 and I have never seen that style of Chronostop before. That said there were some weird variations sold in some markets. Italy and Japan for instance.

    @padders thanks for mentioning the variations in different markets.
    I would assume that Omega themselves should know - like the Omega Museum that as of today is still closed.

    I'm with padders on this.

    The case should be radial brushed round the crystal so I would say a refinished redialed watch.
