Out of curiosity I have just now put the movement serial number of my Speedmaster into the ‘I love my Speedmaster’ website and got the following info. Nothing unexpected, except the production date of February 1969. I previously thought that all Transitional models (applied logo DON bezels etc) were produced earlier in 1968.
Any information for the actual production period for these?

The "Extract from the Archives" for my 145.022-68 Transitional watch states the production date is in early July 1969.

I think that it's kind of cool it is right before July 16, 1969 when the Apollo 11 mission took off to land on the Moon.
It makes it one of the latest "Pre-Moon Speedmasters" to be made before the Moon Mission.
