Proclamation of the day: EVERY watch collector needs to own a Speedy Pro at some point

The thinking on the wife part is correct, but the Speedmaster isn't the only watch that's had minute variations over the decades it's been out. The Rolex Submariner and GMT come to mind immediately. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is another, and so is the UG Polerouter. IWC's caliber 89 references have also had anywhere from small differences to wholesale changes in the case & dial styles over the years.

Minute variations in a continued product range in my opinion is what makes a brand great and gives it credibility and desirability. The Submariner, GMT and Speedmaster Man on the Moon have this no doubt about It.

Yea, well he doesn't do a full service as in taking apart the entire movement either. THAT'S why he's so cheap. Half assed = half price.
He took apart the entire movement for my sub.

Anyway don't want to hijack this thread.

Regarding watch makers in the Boston area, use the search function. There's been a few threads about exactly that in recent times.

Yeah? So you stood and watched over his shoulder while he was working on your watch at his bench? I guess all those veteran Hamilton collectors who used him for cheap quickie services were wrong because they all said he didn't fully disassemble movements, just partially.

Anyway don't want to hijack this thread.

Um, have you been looking around the forum? Hijacking threads is what this place is about. 😜

I'm not recommending for 321 Speedy's because their repair is out of my pay grade. But I have had two watches done at European Watch Co. Ask for Joshua, he has a beaut of his own.

My opinion about your propensity to hijack is that you lack focus.
