Hi All ! I have a problem with date wheel (Omega 8500). It stuck sometimes... and the date changing stoped between dates (sometimes it was OK!). After exactly 9 hours, the wheel set in correct position. But now the wheel stops and doesn't change at all... so I even can't change it manually.
Have watchmakers ever seen this problem? Only to service? What do you think?

It happens - you need to get it looked at. If it's under warranty, take it back.

Yes, no, maybe - you need to take it to a watchmaker to have them determine the cause and provide you with a solution.

Hi everyone! I decided to show you what happened. After warranty repairing I received photos with defect...
But I can't explain this. The AD didn't explain it too. What was really happened and what does the second photo mean?

Based on these photos, the date indicator driving wheel was either damaged or defective from the time it was installed. The first photo shows your watch with the damaged wheel in place, and the second photo of a replacement wheel shows what the wheel is supposed to look like. If you compare them, the one in the watch appears to be broken and missing a segment of the wheel with several teeth gone.

Good thing you still had a warranty.

    Cheers, Al

    Hi Al,

Can you please provide the correct part number for the Planet Ocean 45.5mm hour wheel?

I see a few different part numbers for the 8500 movement and I don’t want to order the wrong one from halfway around the world.

    Thanks in advance.
