Hello folks
First post but I have to show my SM300 fro. 1966.
I purchased this watch and found that it was a troubled time keeper. I was fortunate to find an authentic Omega service technician locally that used Omega OEM parts to make it work as it was meant to run. Pressure tested with 1 year warranty.
The case is exceptional as well as the unaltered original bakelite thin bezel insert.
The movement is the reliable 552, dial has exceptional lume plots.
I submit to see what the community think.

Looks really nice to me, but the crown is a replacement, the case looks polished and missing the countour in the middle area between horizontal and vertical, with the bezel I'm not shure if this is bakelite and it has an uneven gap.

The hands don't look correct either, they should taper near the pinion IIRC and the sweep hand has the wrong tail. Caseback looks wrong. Chamfers missing on the lugs. I wonder how much of this is aftermarket.

Hmm that case isn’t right.

Im afraid all may not be as it seems with this one.

Ouch!
You bought yourself a mega-fake unfortunately... 👎
Everything but that $150 movement is a total fugazi.
I hope you have a way to undo this deal and recover your funds.

I cannot remember seeing any Seamaster case back saying “Certified High Pressure”.

hm...well done this site, BUT:if you look closer, so let´s count the dots on the caseback (sea-horse)
sm300:

5/3version
There are also 6/4 versions.
And: the combination of dial .165 (big triangle) and hands: both versions are legit.
