Up for sale is a, dare I say, “rare” all original black waffle dial Constellation. These don’t come along every day, and while this one isn’t perfect, it’s very attractive. See below for full details, and feel free to message me with any questions.

Dial: Original, non-refinished black waffle/textured/honeycomb dial has developed an attractive and even yellow/gold-ish speckling of patina. It pairs quite well with the gold accents.

Case: Original 34.5mm gold capped 2852 reference case is in nice condition but has been polished. The bevels on the bezel are still visible, the medallion on the caseback remains in nice condition with all stars visible, and the Constellation and Waterproof text on the caseback is still visible.

Crown: Original thick decagonal crown with naiad symbol in the Omega logo, which was some special marketing Omega did for their waterproof crowns in the 1950s. Lots of posts on the forum about these, such as this one. You’ll notice the crown has patina on the gold - I presume originally the entire case had this patina but someone polished it off the main case.

Crystal: Original signed crystal (Omega logo etched in center) is free of scratches.

Movement: Original 505 caliber automatic movement runs, winds, and sets well, but service history is unknown. Serial number dates the watch to 1956.

Strap: Comes on the 18mm black DeBeer leather strap with gold plated buckle pictured.

I also have a period correct red Omega Constellation box (with insert) available for an extra $300 (see last photo). [box now sold]

Price is $2250 (reduced from $2500) shipped globally. Bank transfer/Wise for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.

I have the same watch in stainless steel with exactly the same dial. Almost impossible to find a decent example of those dials in black, and yours is gorgeous. I can't believe no one has snapped it up as I wouldn't sell ours for 3x your price!
