The asking price on this watch has bothered me... for what seems like a year. Funny how it hasn't sold:

The watch is supposed to look something like mine:

Or even better, just search for "Zenith A3651" on Google Images and click on the photos stamped "LouS" (big surprise), or "Veritas99" to see what it's really supposed to look like.

The "tropical" thing works or it doesn't. Here... not so much. I think the price is roughly 10x too high.

There are a TON of overpriced watches on eBay. I don't mean by a couple hundred, they're triple market value or more. I guess Zenith isn't immune to this.

10 x? you mean it should be just around USD 350-400?

Got it, the sweden item definitely a better specimen, and it's just sold at USD 930.

The Stockholm one was a solid price for a good piece.

Whatever Zenith's dialmaker used for metallic blue does not hold up well over time. It tends to flake. On the tri-color, the blue subdial is always the first to show flaws.

I am pretty sure all the original El Primero dials were made by Singer, right?

I believe so too, but I don't know it for a fact.

Whoa! That means my two Omega caps are worth WAY more because one is a Vancouver Olympics grey limited edition and the other is official Omega red & white.
