Practical question: how do you open (and close) a double link in the 7077 bracelet?

Good evening

I am trying to repair a 7077 bracelet for my 2998 chronograph. It has on the closing side of the clasp three double links, on the other should be two. But what I have there is a split- bracelet with two at one end, two at the other. A solution would be to open one of the links and join them.

That would be easy if they were simple 1039 or 7912 elastic links - the double ones seem to be tightly closed on the side, and would not like to proceed with the risk of damaging them.

Any advice?

No pictures remain for the 7077 in Gurmot's post, I can do the other type of links.

Have obtained a tutorial from GinoB, and thankfully have managed to do t myself
