How long should a fully wound 1120 be able to run without additional input?
My 2254 only seems to run 24 hours or so is that usual or should it be a bit longer
    Thanks

Official number is 44 hours, but not unusual for them to go 48 or more. Your watch needs a service if it's only around 24 hours.

    Thanks @Archer.
It was a daily wearer until last year when I got a Speedmaster I still wear it occasionally for 2 or 3 days at a time During this time I haven't noticed any issues eg gaining /losing time.
What causes it to lose reserve capacity?
    Thanks,

    2007 model. -
    Full Omega service - never.
Last year it had an inspection clean regulate and pressure test by a recently retired Omega qualified watchmaker.

So was the movement serviced? If so, I would assume it's still under his warranty and he should fix it. If not, then it really needs a proper service.

I don't think it was a full service, I only asked him to inspect it clean and regulate it I confess I forgot to ask him to do a pressure test he told me when he returned the watch that he'd done one.
I think it's going to need a service but I don't really want the expense at the moment if it's safe to defer it for a while. What is an Omega service likely to cost? Would an independent watchmaker be a better bet?
    Many thanks,

Service costs for whatever country you are in would be available on the Omega web site. You can certainly use an independent watchmaker also.

Thanks I'll have a look at the website Given that it's not a daily wearer & keeps good time can I assume that it's OK to keep wearing it for a bit until I've sorted the service out?
    Thanks

It's completely up to you, but if it hasn't had a service since 2007, it's very much overdue.

Noted - I'll look into getting it serviced before wearing it again. Thanks for all your replies, appreciate your time.
