Potential new Tudors at Baselworld 2020

I've been eyeing up a BB58 or a Black Bay Dark for a month or so, I prefer the sizing of the BB58, but really like the styling of the BB Dark. I saw on rolex forums a suggestion/prediction that they might announce new variants of the BB58 at Baselworld so thought I would ask some of the knowledgeable people on this forum who might have their ear to the ground if they had any thoughts on the idea of additions to the BB58 line or any other predictions for Tudor at Baselworld?

People thought that last year too. And there weren't any. Doesn't mean there won't be this year, but the point is it's all just guesswork really.

Just give me a blue dial/blue bezel Black Bay please.
Thx.

Just square off the hour markers like the Pelagos or put a Mercedes on the hour hand. Can’t stand the way the hand and hour markers line up.

I expect to be in the minority in this case, but I would like to see a "polar" Ranger. White dial, with the existing green/yellow tinged hands framed in black instead of steel, and the indices updated with black borders.

I'm on the wait list for a 214270 Explorer, but I've been eyeing a Ranger in the meantime, as I like its size a bit more.

Still holding out for the 41mm 79230N with a reasonable (read: BB58) height. Would buy in an instant... but I guess that won’t happen.

I'm sure most of us would like to see more options built off the BB58 base - a GMT would be a winner, as would a blue snowflake variant. It'd be nice to see greater availability too - the BB58 still isn't readily available in stores.

What about the ETA version of the BB? It's only 12.7mm thick.

I’ve owned the ETA version and tried the current one... the difference in height is just the protruding caseback, the side view on the wrist is pretty much the same IMO.

I sold my BB ETA due to virtually no wrist time. I thought it would get more, but it has been seating in the safe for almost a year.
Looking forward to something new in 2020. Hopefully, they can come up with something that is going to cut my attention.

Blue BB58 would be nice, I think I would want an all black BB58 like the BB Dark. The Black Bay is just a touch too big at 41mm for me.

Rumor last year was variants of the BB58, instead we got the P01...

We're close enough to Baselworld that if you want you can sit tight and see what happens, but if you find a really good deal on one you might want to take it. Also, if you haven't tried them on in person, I suggest that's your first step - I find that the regular Black Bay (mine is a GMT) wears a bit more comfortably than its on-paper dimensions might suggest

I had a 42mm oris that I’m in the process of selling so it would replace that and I got a bit fed up of the 42mm dimensions, so always thought the Black Bay would be too big. I reckon I’ll wait to Baselworld and see if there are any updates and if there aren’t I’ll try on the Black Bay Dark and see how it wears. I’ve got a GMT Master so I can’t imagine the 1mm makes such a big difference.

Anything like this & I might just wet myself ,

that’s what we thought we were getting last year - and we got the P01!!!

seriously, I think they might do a variation of the BB58 this year. Not a GMT, but I suspect we might get the blue bezel version - and the world will go into meltdown.

they’ve done so many 41 versions, I find it hard to see what else they could do with that line aside from some more 2 tone ones.

size wise they are ok. They do wear thick however so bear that in mind. That said they are pretty comfy watches to wear.

I found my various black bays to wear similar to a sky dweller I owned.

I think a £10-15k Tudor would have a very small market albeit it’s one thing they haven’t done yet....
