One thing for sure, most of us got the "start typing" thing going well, considering all the blathering we do on a daily basis. As far as manning up and strapping on, I'll leave that to you.

You live in Florida correct... if so, you know what I'm talking about - don't be coy.

I need approximately 382 "pointless" arguments to even get my wife to consider my goddamn opinions on anything bro... 182 posts here to put out feelers for a watch is child's play.

Man up, strap on, start typing, quit bitching.
Gee your wife sounds reasonable tbh.

The right to buy a Railmaster is just gonna cost you to post a little more, which is fine, but wait till you decide you want to buy a Rolex from an AD because that's on a whole other level of c*ck s*cking. Welcome to the world of mechanical watches!

I have been known to engage in pointless posts and thread drift, but I do see @Scottie's perspective. I can appreciate that he has been a member for years, has read many threads, but doesn't feel like he has anything constructive to add so he hasn't. Some people are more introverted (online at least), and that is totally cool. However, I agree with the no exceptions 200 post minimum rule, but I can understand the frustration with it.

One thing is for sure, we all can agree @Scottie has a one handsome looking dog.

Not an exception, but maybe a concession for 2 yr. members? 1 yr.?
There's no hit-n-run there.
Some don't participate in class as others do....still good people.

OP posts about not having enough posts. Regulars come in and post 5 times each…

Damn. Now I’ve gone done it too and the word “post” has lost all meaning.

I dunno... I'm a quiet fellow and I'm almost there... as I approach 2 yrs. 🤦
Honestly, it's nice to engage with folks on here, and there are a ton of topics.

Not at all, I just wanted confirmation that I would need to post 182 pointless posts to put out feelers for a watch. I could see the point if I was selling. Regards.

If a collector has the watch you're looking for, they have probably posted it in the past. And the PM function is operational for you.

Yep, 200 AD visits for the Ed White. That's the new method of allocation starting January 26.

You managed to get one? Very pleasing to wear but took a little time to get used to it in my case.

My very first allocation with a local boutique. The owner is my SA. I didn’t know till he gave me his biz card. “hey, your name is on the building. Are you…Oh, OK”
I got an allocation 3 months later.

Which means a Daytona is way way easier to buy than a 321 Speedy. Who knew???
