It's no UG but what a beauty she is 🥰

Martel developed and produced the movements and UG received most but Jaeger received some via UG.

I recently had to change the strap on this Sub because the old one totally wore out. Hard evidence that this could be my best-loved UG!

I got a new olive leather-backed canvas strap for my outdoorsman. Looks pretty nice I think!

Hello, I feel like I've seen this watch many times before, but could you please tell me what it's called? It looks beautiful and like something I'd like to pick up someday. Thanks!

Sure I can. This is an so called exotic Tri-Compax from 1968-–69 with the Ref. 81101/3
The exotic Tri-Compax models were introduced in 1968. There were two versions of the Exotic models as well: “Exotic Slate” with a blue-grey dial (this one), and “Exotic Teal” with a teal dial. The total production volume is estimated to have been around 250-–300 pieces/dial. It is estimated that there are less than 25 “Exotic Slate” models left in the world, making this piece exceptionally rare. No guarantee on the numbers.

For this version there is a MK1 and a MK2 version, the difference being Tri-Compax printed above the 6 o'clock tot' or without, as seen on the version above.

Thanks Ben, I love the look of claw lugs but looking back it’s actually a HY moser&co caseso there wouldn’t be a reference number I don’t think.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! I really love the look of these sort of watches. They have a really beautiful vintage look and the understatement that goes along with it, but there's still plenty of color. I love my Speedy, but there's an appeal to something like this. Hopefully I can pick one up sometimes in the future.
