·Some beautiful Universal pieces here. Here's mine, which I picked up from eBay a year or so ago....it has a 'U' crown, but I'm pretty sure the wrong one, as it looks too small for a start. What should it look like? and where might i find one?

So I've just been chatting to some chap on Facebook about this watch and I have been informed that the case on this has been polished (news to me as the case looks pretty sharp and has the brushing still in place on the top and sides with a strong bevel line) and that the dial is a service dial (as the "Text is just slightly over extended and bold"). Does anyone here think these claims are true?

I don't know anything about these particular models, but offhand, the idea of identifying a service dial on a UG time only because of the text print quality, sounds very far fetched. Unless this person has studied white shadow extensively and has extremely in depth knowledge, I wouldn't worry about it personally
