That's a bit of an obvious redial I'm afraid. It might be worth its own thread as I'm sure some members could give you some advice as to how it originally might have looked. You might even be able to find a loose correct dial for it.
Im guessing it probably started life as an S20217-3 ? (Bumper 138ss inside?) If so, the reference number should be on the caseback. Whatever reference it says, you should be able to see what the original dial should look like in the Reference Gallery: https://universalgenevepolerouter.com/photo-galleries/referencegallery/
^ thanks. Will check it out. This piece was actually part of a pair that was my first vintage buy. The other was a constellation. Part of my Genta obsession at that time. I also posted here and there i learned that it was a redial as the dial said “Microtor” when it had a bumper movement. I just charged it to experience and just bought another UG. Since it’s a redial anyway, i had it redone again to remove “Microtor” since it didnt have a microtor movement anyway. I didnt realize one could still buy an original dial for this. Thanks again. Will hunt for one.
You can't buy an original dial as such but you would be advised to set up a few Ebay searches and be very patient. Loose parts come up pretty often and you will probably eventually be lucky.
Yepp, works way better than I imagined. Its just a no name vintage steel bracelet I picked up on eBay (gold plated I guess?)
Last two additions. Mint conditions Compax 22408 with shield logo and Dato-Compax 22325 with rather strong "suntan".
Absolutely love the numerals on the 22408 and it’s so hard to beat the balance of a Dato or Aero Compax! Beautiful watches!!
