Haven't posted very much during the last weeks... So here are some impressions of my new toy from approximately 1936:
Makes my heart skip a beat! - Ca. 1963 Universal Geneve Uni-Compax "Big Eye" Ref. 884100/02 (UG Cal.125)
Absolutly adore this watch, the blued minute and second hands, the white sub hands and this big eye are fantastic!! Your pic shows it all, great shot!!
Thanks for the nice compliment. Its a tough to capture that steel blue hands w/out washing out the dial. The sub hands are actually steel, which off-sets the H/M/S beautifully. UG was on point in the 60's with all their chrono references!
Finally acquired (sort of) a grail of mine and it just so happens to be the best one I’ve seen. Silver dial Exotic Compax though I do need to sell it. Either way it’s not leaving my wrist until it has to and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be holding on to it even if only for a short while!
Think I told you the same on IG recently as well - don't mind me, just drooling at every opportunity I get.
