    What a gorgeous thread.

Here is an updated assembly of my Polerouters:

While I originally posted this on another thread re: same watch, different colour, I hope you won’t mind me also posting it here, where I think it is better suited. Thank you!

Is that a Compur 30 with a 386 ? It's hard to tell but I fell like that's a common configuration with the Roman dial. In this shot it looks like the dial and strap are made from the same material! I like it, there's something really satisfying to a daily beater that you don't have to baby. Like a perfectly worn in pair of shoes.

Can any UG of collectible caliber be referred to as a beater? I treat em like they are made of glass.

Thank you!!! Totally agreed - the thing is running strong, and i don‘t have to be too careful. :) actually it‘s a 285 beating inside.

Sure I think the time only waterproof cases can take a beating, especially if they are already roughed up. Spillman chrono maybe? Ppl took these things into battle...

oh, and to your initial question if it‘s a compur 30 - i don‘t think so, since the mvmt would be different, right? i bought this in 2012 with a redial (i was quite uneducated at the time), found out a year later, went on the hunt for a period-correct dial and then a good friend had one. Thanks to this watch and to the fellow who helped me out, I learned a lot about chrono dials from UG. Other than that - I love the fact that the dial is quite worn. I call this one the „compunk“.

you normally see a Compur 30 with a cal 3XX series, but I have not extensively researched to see if this is an absolute rule. I'm impressed you were able to find a correct dial that matched the movement and case, that can be really tough

Thank you! It took time - and the right person :) the reason why i kept this in my drawer all the time was the case. The coin-edge was too nice :)
