I have a collleague who grew up in Northern Ireland ... found out that “quite good” is just a polite way of saying “it’s rubbish” . Used to needle her mercilessly every time she said it. Not surprising that the late stuff is getting attn. now that the prime years are picked over.

 

I don't think it's rubbish at all. IMO they are very nice looking watches with a very honest movement inside Plus, I think this ref is one of the few gold/steel watches that I like!

My fault, bad english level I think But yes, I agree with you that 40's UG are too expensive for "normal" people and we need to find other watches to enjoy Universal Geneve!

 

I'd say that's a pretty tall order this side of the world..
