I think I would send it for replating. What a dial!

Nice dial! I think the case is fine, it matches the dial color anyway. What's the size?

I'm back and forth on the case. You have to see it in person to decide, pics just make it look like junk. In person it's kind of an interesting mix of gold, copper, and brass.

the case size is 35mm, and it feels bigger than that.

Nice size! I think it would look great if you pair it with a nice, weathered brown strap. Like mine:

I believe this watch presents a great opportunity to replate the case. You indicate you are on the edge of seeing the case as having strong patina or simply excessive wear of the plating. I'd go with a replate myself.

And if you could possibly replate in a rose gold, that tone may compliment the dial colors really nicely and perhaps more than yellow gold. I'd hold that dial close to a rose gold case in different lighting to make that decision. Then install a nice new strap, and it would present really well and be even more stunning than it is now.

Would you care to say what strap that is - I assume your Wilhelmina still has fixed lugs?

Sure! It’s Accurate Form. It came with the watch when I bought it from Item Tokyo. You can order from - http://curious-curio.jp/

And yes it still has fixed lugs.

A better photo of my early De Luxe. Wears bigger than the twisted lug models (probably more noticeable on my spindly wrists). Now, if only I could find that elusive gold Polerouter Electric...
