The serial on this one dates it to 1951/1952. Love the warmth of the 18k pink gold, in an oversized 37.5 mm case. As much as I love my various Tri-Compax, I have to admit it’s a pleasure to also have a piece that doesn’t require any complications to be set before strapping it onto the wrist and enjoying! Vintage Universal Geneve is simply the best.

I wanted to share this really cool UG I found recently. It’s a reference 21289 from around 1941 and clocks in at a monster 38mm.
I just love everything about this watch. The two-tone dial is one I haven’t seen before, particularly at this scale. The silver minute track has developed fairly uniform patina and created a second gold-looking outer rim under certain light. I also want to bring your attention to these lugs;
