It's unfortunate that the pics dont show the hands dark blue color, have pics of the caliber I'll dig through and show, think it's an 18.89M. Really getting into vintage pocket watches lately, its amazing to me that something can be 100+ years old and still keep spot on time

Another interesting note is the hands are squared off at the ends, you really dont see that alot, looked at hundreds of longines pocket watch listings and haven't see one like mine yet!

Frankly, after a slightly ill-tempered week of newbie-baiting and grandstanding, it's great to come on the forum and see something uplifting from the world of watches, so thanks @Radiumpassion for that. 👍

I got this 1958 ref. 6853 with cal 23ZS in GP/steel for not much, and I love it.

My idiot question: I don't do a lot of strap stuff myself, and I had never before seen thick centre-sprung bars like these... Is that just my inexperience, or were these a Longines special? To anyone who can tell me more - thanks!📖
Can anyone gently educate me, please?
