Hommage to Hamilton (1938).
I am intrigued by the mention of a "gray calfskin strap" in the same breath as the "10% iridium platinum" case and "18K applied gold numeral dial," especially given that the Richmond and Ardmore descriptions make no mention of straps. I suppose the gray calfskin strap was an important part of grayscale ensemble. Thanks for sharing.

Here's the same trio in the 1936 catalogue. Notice they mention a platinum buckle and finest gray calfskin strap. The Rutledge was Hamilton's top-of-the-line model at the time: $175 during the height of the depression was a chunk of change.

That platinum buckle must be rare as hen's teeth. Looking at some Longines prices from 1936, $175 does seem like a pretty hefty sum for the period.
