Possible to Retrofit Drop Tail seconds Hand on Older Speedmaster?

As the title says, I have a modern reference 311.30.42.30.01.005 (ref. right before newest). I've always liked the way the drop point seconds hands looked on Speedmasters over the flat bottom seconds hands but since that was all that was available when I purchased mine I didn't think too much about it, since I would never have wanted to put a vintage hand on a new watch. However since the newest references have the drop tail second hand I was wondering if it would be possible to have a qualified watch maker order and put on one of those second hands onto my older Speedmaster.
I hope what I'm saying isn't too sacrilegious but I figured since it wasn't exactly a collectible vintage piece to start such a minor mod wouldn't be noticed, and before someone mentions it, the reason I don't simply sell my speedmaster and buy the newest reference that already has the drop point seconds hand is because my older Speedy has several design cues that I love more than what they've chosen in the newest Speedmaster, the chrono hand is just not one of them. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!
