Bought this old beauty from a friend's neighbor, a nice bloke in his late seventies. Told me the watch had been lying in his drawer for decades.

I naturally assumed it to be a ref. 2605 "spider lug". Much to my surprise, when opened, I found a 1945 30T2 movement and a back case with ref. 2608 stamp!

Here's a 2608.
Anyway, I intend to keep it. You don't see dials in this conditions every day.

If anybody can enlighten me about this possible chimera, please chime in!

Now a double franken!
The 30T2 movement was not serviceable. I had a 2639 with a botched dial clean (not in my possession) in the drawer, and the cal. 265 was transferred to the spider case.
I think this combo makes a lovely daily beater.
