im just checking the red hand should be on the central month subdial? I see it most often this way, and always in Sala, but I also see lots of other examples where it’s on the right date subdial. And I have purchased two recently where it’s on the right date dial. Before I switch them back, just checking. Are people getting thrown by the red 31 on the date dial, mistakenly putting the red hand there, and now it just has a life of its own? This is what I assume is correct....
I think the red hand can be at the two different places ... by the way this watch looks gorgeous... may we have more clear pic of the dial?
Really, you think either position OK? I had always assumed there was a correct subdial for that red hand, kind of like with a tri, it should always be up top. Hmm, well should I leave the ones alone that have the red hand on the date dial, if I purchase them that way? This one came like this (from one of our fellow UG members here on OF) A proper photo for a proper watch....
That’s a stunning watch. The moonface disk makes it all.... That’s my thought. But let’s see what the others collectors thinks
I say red on the months. It’s balanced better and when the month is over the moon disk it will be readable.
yes I don't think there is any question red should be on the date sub dial when there is no moonphase. However I'm not sure this same logic applies to the TDMP. Perhaps this is why there is some confusion and lots of different examples online
hmmm, I was just studying the UG booklet on triple date moonphase and notice that is says a "SPECIAL HAND C3" indicates the month....given that there is only one red hand, I think that is pretty good evidence that the red hand is intended to sit on the central sub dial and not the right sub dial.......
