I have a 1972 Mark II with the racing dial so that would be of no interest to me. Lots of naysayers right now on the Apollo 11 for many reasons, some rational, some irrational considering no one has physically seen, handled or slipped one on their wrist. I'd get the 11 but only you can make that decision, I never could see the point of asking a biased audience what I should buy. People are always ready to spend other people's money.

Japan Racing. Make sure it’s a genuine full set. Pretty sure it will cost you more than the A11 50th but it’s rarer - and 6969 is a limited edition in name only.

...biased towards what exactly??

There are as many people who seem to like the new Apollo 11 than the ones who don't. If anything, you don't seem to be able to accept that some people don't like it whenever you do... whenever you also haven't seen it in real life.

So, frankly, I am unsure about your comment. 😕

Also, how can you answer this question in an unbiased manner whenever you already have a racing dial... how?? 👎

For me, definitely 50th apollo.
Japan's looks too austere to me except for its rarity in production.

A vote from me for Apollo 11th 50th.

The Japan facing is too close to the std racing for me. Plus I do love the Apollo.

If you can find one and afford it, Japan Racing. With the numbers available, you'll always be able to pickup an Apollo 11 50th Anniversary, and in future probably at a huge discount - look at what has happened with the 60th Anniversary Speedmaster, and that had half the numbers.

Here's another 3570.40, just because pictures are fun.

between the two of them the japan racing.
a lot of better options for a LE speedy at the 50th apollo 11 price point.

Japan Racing. I’m not liking the Buzz subdial. If not for that, I’d pick 50th.

As you have the tintin, the 50th anniversary would be the logical choice.
Besides you can always find the Japan racing as a second hand while you will probably not have an opportunity to get a 50th new as I predict that although a high edition, it will be sold out (and you already have one in reserve)
Good luck deciding

Japan Racing. The 50th is okay but not special enough in my eyes.

Japan racing.....until they issue one with gold accents and an image of an astronaut racing a convertible corvette in the 9 sub-dial, then hard pass on both.

I would go with the Racing, I havent taken to the look of the 50th so far.

I went with a slightly different look for my racing

I did try something different again with the Alaska red hand but didnt take to it haha

The 50th anniversary for sure. Bec it's a limited edition though one may say that 6969 is alittle too many but like the 35th anniversary piece it's still akeeper.

Japan racing over any recent LE.

Especially the LEs with an astronaut’s ass shining at you.
