Yay! I finally got my Ploprof back from the watchmaker. I have an extract for it showing May 1972 production shipped to Venezuela which fits with some of the serial #s posted elsewhere. Very happy it's all original. My question concerns engraved numbers on the back. I'm guessing that they represent an inventory or stock number for a dive company or oil company, but I have no hard facts. There is currently another Ploprof on ebay with the same number series, about 30 digits off. I've tried contacting the seller, but they have no information other than tat watch was obtained in Venezuela. Any thoughts (or even actual facts ;) ) appreciated. Here are some pictures, also have been posted elsewhere on OF. Numbers are hard to read but are 171252.

Nice ploprof! I think you’re probably spot on with the engraved numbers being from a commercial dive/oil company. Lots of oil in Venezuela.
