I would recommend ordering an Extract of the Archives once the museum opens.

The value on a Ploprof is increased if you get an EoA conforming the movement for a Ploprof, as so many have been exchanged in the past.

Yours seem to be a 32.064.xxx serial, and just for reference my EoA confirmed Ploprof is a 32.058.xxx that left Omega in June 1972.

So you have a valuable watch there, be careful with the diving, check for moisture after each dive not to damage anything inside. And wear it!!

Thanks, less for value and more for just knowing I think an extract would be fun to get for sure. I won't sell this, in 20 years I shall look for another instructor that appreciates good watches to pass it along to.

It did a 68ft dive for 73 mins today and seemed happy.. but stayed dry .. LOL

Oh, and I was shocked when someone at the dive site today saw my watch and said "Is that really a Ploprof?" then even more amazed it was an original. Of course I then noticed his newish Rolex sub so.. as I was showing him the Ploprof, another watch enthusiast with a 90's Rolex Explorer Pepsi joined us and we talked watches for a few mins, then diving. Bottom line, some of these watches actually get dove. :)

no and on reflection it may have been a pepsi GMT. His first rolex was an explorer I think he said.. so not being a huge rolex guy.. cross circuit. I am sure he said it was a 90's model he was wearing and that it had a pepsi bezel

:) no worries. Just teasing you. Although apparently you can mod an explorer with a Pepsi bezel.

I was diving a rebreather that I only have about 5 hours on so made the call not to bring my camera. When I get it wet while I am on either open circuit or my other rebreather that I have a couple hundred hours on I will bring my camera and oblige happily. In fact I had to remind myself that I would tell any of my students to not task load (camera whenetc) diving a new unit...because I wanted a pic of the watch..lol.

Nice watch, and would have left the factory in August 1972 according to my records.

congrats on getting the watch back and serviced nicely :)
I would love to get a Ploprof in similar manner, but alas, i'm neither a diver or dive instructor :(
    Wear it in good health!
