The only thing I know is that they are from around 50s based on serial number and that they are gold because the jeweler check it but i want to know more , because i could not find any identical piece and also i am sceptical about the "swiss made" sign being hidden at the bottom is that normal ?

Not gold but gold capped. There is a difference

A bigger picture of the dial straight on would help. Right now I'm thinking the dial has been refinished (a while ago) so a really nice close-up shot may prove me wrong.

Is it gold-capped? It looks to me that the underside of the lugs is also gold-colored. Combined with the marking inside the case-back (80 microns plated layer), I would say this is gold-filled. Indeed, better photos (in focus) would help, but I think the dial might be ok. The crystal is wrong and the tension ring is obscuring the outer edge.

80 microns gold plate, marked inside the back.

Dial looks original based on the smallish photo provided.

I thought the "plaque or" denoted gold capped. Maybe the lunette and 80 microns tell a different story. Nevertheless, not solid gold.

« Plaque » means « plated ». You’ll notice it’s almost the same word. Lunette is bezel.
So indeed the inscription says, literally «gold plated bezel, 80 microns »

Plaque or is French for gold plated. I think gold filled or capped would be called “laminage or”

OK, that's good to know. I've never really been very clear on the difference between plated and filled. So an unusually thick plating. I knew it wasn't capped though.

This also makes me wonder about the mid-case. Also 80 microns plated? They could be reflections, but I think I might be seeing some base metal showing on the corners under the lugs.

One good way to take a good picture with an I Phone is to put it flat on a mug to stabilize it. Also you should not make it too close because it makes it more difficult for the phone to focus. You can enlarge the picture later to have a better view of the details.

I don’t know enough about Omega to say if this dial has been refinished but it certainly looks very pretty.

I don’t know the OMEGA looks a little wonky but automatic looks good. Hard to say maybe it’s just the pic. It’s a nice watch though I like that style. Is it a family piece? If you have to sell it you gotta do what you gotta do I just hate seeing family watches go.

If you don’t sell it, you’ll still have it decades from now. If you sell it, in 6 weeks or less you’ll have neither the watch or the money you get for it. It is a desirable watch in decent condition, and it shouldn’t be hard to sell. But it won’t bring big money.

It looks very nice and original 😀

Plated 2577s will normally be the lowest value option of the possible case materials (plated, gold cap, solid gold, stainless steel), but the dial looks great which is important too.

This also makes me wonder about the mid-case. Also 80 microns plated? They could be reflections, but I think I might be seeing some base metal showing on the corners under the lugs.

On the gold plated Omegas of that era that I have seen this has been the case every time. When photos are poor, it makes it look as if the case is capped.

Here is one of mine, also where “swiss made“ is hidden , but its there. This one is 18k solid gold, the case made by Denison in the uk in 1958, al 501

Case is a bit shiny, as it was one of my earlier ( newbi) purchases
