Because it's dishonest. It might not be an outright fake or a deliberate Franken, but it's not straight and the sellers knows it but is trying to pass it off as original.

Yes well, the Omega Forum definition of "Fake" does not include incorrect hands.

I found this in a box with old things. Just wondering if this is real or fake. No photo of the inside I can't open it.

Once I was told: when you read Omega outside the case, and not inside, is always a fake.
Just my two cents...
