It might be me that needs reporting for lack of knowledge, but this can't be right - can it?

Half expecting a :whipped: in case I wrong...

People! This thread is for FAKES. Not Frankensteins, or put-togethers. All of which are genuine. Whatever we think of them, that doesn't make them fake. It's important to keep these two categories separate.

"Based on my view of the condition of the watch, the back, and the crystal, I would be surprised if this watch has been opened more than once or twice in it’s lifetime."
It has been open as caseback is wrong

"All of the appearance is of a watch that spent the vast majority of it’s time in the safety deposit box."
Sure, but why change caseback and put a fake bezel then??

"For example: Each OMEGA crystal comes from the factory with an “omega” symbol on the outside of the crystal, directly over the central hand pivot. If the crystal still has the “omega” symbol, chances are very high the crystal has never been polished. (See the last photo)"
Don't you know that the Omega symbol is INSIDE the inside?? Polish has no effect on it, and an hesalite change cost $50..

"I don’t think this watch has ever been restored, and that it may well be “original !”"
Fake bezel and not original caseback, "original" then?

"I have not had a watch repairman take the back off, so I have NO idea about what is inside the watch. So sorry, there will be no returns on this item, sold as-is, where-is.
And what about a non-working movement, is it really "original"... a guy selling used watches that can't open a moonwatch, is that honest??
