I reported it. Don’t know what eBay will do.

eBay’s response:

Thanks again for reporting the listing(s) you found.

What happened:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent.

Don’t know what else to do.

I'm not sure what kind of wording it takes to get their AI bot to work. It allows files to be attached now but I think it simply counts how many reports come in. Until the magic number is hit, their bot replies to you saying that you are the crazy one. They have even sent me warnings saying that my activity is suspect and temporarily turned off my ability to report.

I reported it as well. Could not find the report button. Turns out it is a ? in the lower left.
I suspect ebay does not care anymore.

Is this the sellers way of saying "I told you it was fake" with out saying it?

"On Jan-26-26 at 11:25:44 PST, seller added the following information:
There is a self winding movement in the watch and it does keep good time but the movement is not anything special. Again the auction is for the case with band. The movement is just an extra."

Do we have to buy from him to give feedback?

Looks like eBay want's their cut. Too bad someone will really get burned bad on this.

I also note they are only selling the case and band. Which could be anything. I suppose they will claim the NASA and snoopy stickers are aftermarket.

Caveat Emptor.
Caveat Venditor principles also apply ..... they have an obligation to accurately represent.
Guess eBay hasn't heard of that one.

Dear eBay, I TOLD YOU SO!
eBay doesn’t care. I’ve reported many watches that were clearly fake and I’ve never once seen them taken down.

The buyer has opened a case. eBay always sides with the buyer. I'm just looking forward to the scam seller relisting it again.

Thankfully this buyer caught it. Can’t imagine all the people who don’t have the knowledge of these and are just looking for their first watch that get taken for a ride

yeah, I had a scammer sell me a Montblanc a while back, and I figured out one of their systems that was pretty awful/effective.

They listed 'decent' deals, but not super good ones. They shipped good passing fakes. You can't leave a negative feedback until it has gone a few days and you've communicated with the seller, so as soon as you say something like "Hey this is a fake", they refund you/get you to send it back. At that point, you don't have any way of putting negative feedback.

The seller amassed a near-perfect feedback as a result! I reported every listing as well as sent info about the sale being a fake to ebay, and they rejected it/left the seller around for a long time. I guess they fool enough people that it ended up being profitable :/
