    Dear folks,

Walking around Tokyo today and chanced upon this arrowhead constellation 14381 cal 551 :

As I always wanted to have something like this for my first vintage watch , I would like to get some opinion from the community here

    1) is there anything off you guys notice (IMO I don't think it's a redial but would like some comments if someone notice any)

    2) is 3200usd overpaying for such a quality?

Will appreciate if the experts can chime in their two cents

It’s definitely redial and over priced. Run

Anyone else think that movement and that bridge did not start life together?

I don't agree that this is a redial. 2-liners exist for reference 2852 (which I think this is). I can't zoom in on the caseback pic to see, but if it is a 2852, it is probably a later watch before the change to 2-line text.

    Price way too high.

Take a close look at the font. Is not consistent and if you look at the e in omega it looks like it was broken during the redialing process. The cross hairs ore not centered and seem to be freshly painted and a bit wiggly.

Dial looks fine to me though the price is too high. The gold capped Connies are often the most difficult to sell.

I think the dial is fine, but again priced way too high particularly considering the condition of the dial.

Overpriced but certainly not a redial.

It’s a nice watch in decent but not great condition.
The dial looks fine to me but has extensive bubbling.
The case is quite good but has seen some wear.
The BOR is a nice bonus.
As above, it’s gold cap and if this was being offered privately or at auction the watch is about $2,000 overpriced IMHO.
Retail in Tokyo is another matter of course.

I chanced on this one too and don't think I see these around often. Does 1850usd for this variant of shark tooth sounds overpriced too ?

Is it ss or another gold cap - its hard to tell from just 1 (poor) photo?

Both the watches you have shown date from 1958-61 or so, if this helps

Edit - 7 o/c lug looks half the width of the 5 o/c lug - so thats a v bad start

Crown on shark tooth is incorrect. At that price it should be 100% spot on.

Funny. I would buy this in a heartbeat for $ 1500-1600. :D Love those arrowhead markers and somehow I dont see them that often. Maybe I should increase my search time for omega's from 3 hours to 6 hours a day... Hate work anyway...
