Beautiful. I agree with Osterman... black and gold is such a fantastic look...and this is an excellent example. The engraving makes it unique and special.

I recently picked up this little late 60s (from what I can tell) mechanical C Case Zenith for my better half. Impulse buy, didn鈥檛 break the bank. But..what a lovely little thing. I love the bracelet.

I came a cross this beauty from late 1950s (I think) today. Haven't opened up the caseback yet, but I believe it should house Zenith Cal 40 or 126-6. According to seller it's been in their family since the purchase, of which last 23-ish years in a box at the attic. Didn't measure it yet to confirm, but I think it's the XL (36mm) version of Zenith Sporto.

70s pilot automatic picked up from eBay.

This is great...reminds me of an Omega whose reference I don't know. Nice watch!

And now back from the watchmaker! 馃榾 It's a keeper and for one I really like the font Zenith used for the lone 12 on this dial! I've been hesitant of letting them re-finish the cases, but with this Sporto I thought I'll give it a try. The results look very pleasing to me (and corners still feel sharp where they were). Now I am waiting for the mailman to bring the period correct Zenith buckle to swap in!

PS. Looks like i need to brush up on my Zenith identification; It's Cal.40, but the case is not the jumbo version but the regular 34mm, and the watch is from around 1960-1962 (movement serial 5216629, caseback number 9619189, Zenith moved from stepped to stacked 'Zenith Sporto' text on the dial around the beginning of 1960s I believe).
