I’m home with Covid, for the first time ever, and completely wrecking Thanksgiving for the family. 🙁
So, I sat through The Saint, in which Val Kilmer pays his “guide” for safe passage though Moscow’s underground tunnels with a Bulgari Chronograph.
Of course, the real reason I watched this stupid movie is because it co-stars Elisabeth Shue 👍

While the Speedmaster gets plenty of screen time in the movie Apollo 13, these two Rolex GMTs get a few seconds of glory on the big screen during the recovery scene at the end of the movie.

·SF chron critic slammed the picture. Thought it was a Frank Sinatra song. Said there was no chemistry between the leads, and the film too predictable.
Best Apollo landing comedy is the Sam Neil film "The dish." would be hard to top that one. Do not remember any watches in it. But I loved the sheep. Nothing like putting a giant radar dish on top of a brick victorian folley on an Austrailan sheep farm.
