Hi guys was just wanting to find out any information on this omega pocket watch I inherited from my great grandfather it has been stored in this leather padded pouch which I'm guessing was used by my great grandfather as both the pouch and watch have his initials ingraved in it. Watch has 21 jewels and a serial number of 3486560 any help would be appreciated as I'd like to be able to give my son info when I hand it over to him on his 21st bday

High grade movement with that micro regulator.

    Nice screwed down jewel chatons.

    Nice Geneva striping, too.

    Great heirloom, get it serviced.

The serial number of 3,486,560 puts it around 1909 - 1910. The "ADJUSTED 3 POSITIONS" and the regulator assembly tells us it's a top quality movement, most likely a variant of the Chronometer 19''' DDR. If I were forced to wager, I'd say it's a 19''' NN L 23p.

Likely an Omega 19 as per this link to the Ranfft movement archive. The text in the link shows this movement was made in a number of grades. The one shown in the link is a much plainer version of yours. Higher grades than yours were approved for use on Canadian railroads. To the best of my knowledge, this model of movement didn’t have a name.

The railroad grades of this movement bore the Louis Brandt name, and caliber CCR (19-jewels), and CCCR (23-jewels) in the 16-size models, and DR (19-jewels), and DDR (23-jewels), In the 18-size models.

Dates to around 1906 or so.

Awesome piece. Get it serviced! If you tell us your location we can give recommendations.

This is the railroad approved, 19-jewel Brandt CCR version of your Omega. The Brandt name of the firm was changed to Omega circa 1903. But Omega has used the Brandt name on watches periodically, ever since 1903.

Sounds like a Dennison case, so the Omega case numbers won't apply. You can google Dennison cases for more info, or post a photo.
