Hi all! I just picked up a Seamaster for a respectable price and I'd love to learn a little bit more about it (the seller didn't have a lot of information). It's a bumper movement (the seller said 351 cal) with a gold face and stainless steel backing. Any idea what year it's from or if anything has been replaced? I'd speculate that the crown is not original but I'm not sure. Thank you all for the help; I'm excited to get involved in this community.
Have a watchmaker open it and take photos of the numbers on the movement and inside the caseback. That info will help you get the information you're seeking.
