    Hi,

I inherited this Omega Seamaster Automatic from my grandfather who passed away.

I wore it for a few months and noticed that it was't keeping time well, so I took it into a shop to get it serviced and hopefully uncover some more information about it.

The watched was fixed, but I was told that there wasn't any stamp inside indicating when or where it was made or exactly what model it is. My Dad told me that my grandfather purchased this watch sometime in the 1950s or early 1960s while he was managing a mine in Africa. That's all I know.

I have no intentions of selling this watch as it has tremendous sentimental value, but if anyone has information about when it was made, a model name / number, or what it might be roughly worth it'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello and welcome.

All the information you need can be found on the movement and inside the case back. If you can get photos of this we will be able to accurately answer your questions.
