Yes, He is a big Ferrari collector. He has raced at Sebring and Mila Mila.Broke his back in a accident at Lime Rock Conn, ending his racing career. .

My partners Ford GT40 (raced at Lemans , (not a repro $3.8 Mil Hagerty )
Photo's on the wall with Enzo Ferrari & Carrol Shelby. Shelby gave him a Rolex Daytona because he did not have a watch to race with.

Ask him if he wants to lend it to me to race with

Just posted this pic in an other post aswell. I love to wear the 116506. Aquited it 2.5 years ago for the birth of my son.

The weight is fenomenal but something you easily get use to. The ice blue dial is crisp!! Stunning!!
I have had no other experience with the watch than positive. No sharpness on the middle link. Just had a look at it but dont really see how this could be sharp and if it was, how you could notice or feel it.

It is mot that easy to capture the ice blue that well on a picture in a restaurant but it is stunning.

But on the price point, yes, they tend to drop a bit faster than other watches but that seems to be linked to the specific price positioning.

Take a look at cars.... and compare the prices in relation to the new list price of for example a porsche 911 turbo S and a 911 S.

Are the second hand prices going up.......just checked uk chrono and lowest price is £46k for a used 2013, they were sub £40k six months ago?

That happened along the way in the latest 6 to 9 months. It is even worst, try to source it new now and you will get delivery time unspecified. While in the past delivery took place within a month.

The dial is fantastic. For me the platinum Daytona is to heavy and the list price is double price of the Whitegold Daytona.
