Plans for a mobile app for Omegaforums or is it going on tapatalk again ever?

I am not sure if I am allowed to ask this question in the thread title...., and I am sorry if it has been asked again or replied.
I just miss the convenience of reading the posts I follow in my mobile, getting notifications etc...

Another question : are there any plans of making an iOS and android app, that could be a great solution without the insecurity issues and other issues with Tapatalk?

Any thoughts?

Why would one need an app when the webpage is responsive and works perfectly on a smartphone?

Internal alerts and email notifications allow the follow up of threads you like.

OF has one of the best UX ever, I personally don鈥檛 see the point in installing an app for it on my smartphone - a shortcut on the home screen is all I need. 馃憤

What about the notifications? Is there any way to have them with just the page?

ok that's not push notification. You have to enter the page to see the notifications

That鈥檚 all I need at this stage. ...and if I need more, I get an email.

Maybe you need even more. I think I might feel sorry if so 馃榾

@kov I agree about OF being best of breed in web forums and I also prefer it on mobile web over Tapatalk. Thanks for your great work! If you ever did want to do mobile notifications (unless their absence is a preference), a service worker can poll for updates and post the notifications. https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/push-notifications.

Also, is there a way to tell Tapatalk to stop advising that it can handle OF? At least on Android it claims to, which screws up Tapatalk integration on my phone system-wide.
