Hello to everyone. I bought a new omega planet ocean from a trusted dealer from chrono 24. I receive it with damaged carton box, without tag and stickers and with a very tiny scratch in the case. I think that i should probably return the watch. You think its normal that situation? Thank you a lot.

Personally haven't bought anything off of Chrono24, but have purchased from other sellers and had items shipped to me. Every time the watch was shipped, it was with overnight shipping, well packed in multiple layers of bubble wrap and foam. Usually came in a box or protective case and was exactly what was shown in the pictures.

Have you contacted the seller with pictures of how the box arrived on your doorstep? Once you unpacked it? Can you pull up the original ad with a pic of where the scratch is showing it wasn't there before? Was this a brand new, unworn watch? (you mentioned stickers so was it advertised like that?)

Due you diligence, contact the seller (or Chrono24) explain how it showed up and go from there. Not sure on Chrono24 policy but would think things like this are covered.

Best of luck!

I have bought through Chrono24 and have been perfectly satisfied but I agree with what @Vinz Clortho posts.

Damaged carton box could be due to shipping? That very tiny scratch is subjective, do you have photos?

Missing tags and stickers is a major issue if the watch was advertised to come with them.

In the end, if you aren't 100% happy with the watch and return is an option, why not?

Hello thank everyone for your replies. The box of course could be damaged due to shipping. The watch was advertised as new.

Since the watch is advertised as new, did the seller disclose any visible flaws and also did the price paid reflect the flaws disclosed? Last, are you not happy with the condition received? In this case, bring this up with chrono24 and seller to see what recourse that you have.

Hello to everyone. I send photos to the seller and he said that these little scratches are normal even if the watch is new. He made me an offer to pay the polishing of the watch. I refused that option. Then he told me that he will ask chrono24 to not give me all the money i paid. Can he do that?

I would suggest reading the Terms and Conditions of Chrono24 (actually, hopefully you did that before using the platform). That should answer any questions you have about the return process, and is more reliable than asking people on Omegaforums, which has no connection with Chrono24. Contact Chrono24 and initiate a return.

I have had one less than satisfactory experience with Chrono24, and all I can say is if you have used the escrow service, do not authorize release of funds unless you are satisfied with watch (and bits).

You are paying for that escrow service, so use it! A new watch should not have any scratches. Period.

Best of luck.

Exactly. Isn't that price close to full retail too? (for normal steel models). It should be nothing less than brand new.
