Exactly what are planet Ocean homage watches. I've read here before that Homage watches are a no-no but what I want to know is if the cases for these that occasionally show up on Ebay would fit the movement and dial, bezel, etc of the watches they are patterned after.
Are these watches true Omega products or license built or what?

I had figured as much. I'm wondering how they got hold of the logo and brand name. Was there some shortfall in the international copyright protection of the Brand?

I'm reminded of an episode of "All in the family" where Archie Bunker is bragging on the deal he made on an Omega watch and someone points out that the lettering on the dial actually reads "ONEGA".

 

In the case of replicas and fakes they are illegal to sell in almost every country. They are illegally using the logo and design they did not get ahold of them.

Those replica websites are constantly being shut down and moved to new domain and or hosts.
