Not sure entirely where these images originated but as we're getting close to Baselworld 2013, they make for an interesting proposition...

The Seamaster line has been devoid of a traditional, bezel operated GMT dive watch since the Great White GMT and its cousins departed many years ago. This watch appears to use an etched ceramic bezel in a similar fashion to those, based on the highly regarded Planet Ocean 8500.

Whether its a leaked image or a very well done enthusiast created one, I have to say, they have the movement (Cal 8605), they have the watch (Planet Ocean 8500), so it can definitely be done, lets see it in production!

So I see there will be a man's watch, but will there be a lady's version?

Could you elaborate more on bezel operated GMT dive watch? Is it like setting the second hour hand using bezel?

dsio Actually the Seamaster range still has a bezel operated GMT watch which is the Aqua Terra Chrono GMT (although it can be argued that this isn't a proper professional dive watch or a strictly GMT watch).

Privateday7 Yes. The 24 hour track is on the bezel.

It sure has a chunky case! 👍 I wonder how it compares in case thickness against the Deep Sea Dweller...
