“Calibre 8605 movement came out about 5 years into production of 8500 variants and has been a solid performer over time. From around 2015 onwards, these movements featured the 15,000 Gauss antimagnetic rating, and Master Co-Axial branding.” This is not wholly correct. While one version of the Cal.8605 was based on the Cal.8500G it only appeared in the Goodplanet Aqua Terra GMT in 2015 and is listed by Omega as the Cal.8605G, no Planet Ocean GMT ever used the Cal.8605G. The only fully anti-magnetic movement used in a Planet Ocean GMT is the Cal.8906 in the 2016 “Oreo” Master Chronometer Planet Ocean Gen3 that replaced this watch.
