    Hi,

If this has been asked before, please be patient - I had a search but couldn't find the answer I'm looking for!

I'm going to get a PO 600, and have sourced retailers for all 3 models.
I know the 45.5 and 42 have an 8500 movement, while the 43.5 has the 8900 movement.
At retail, I can get the newer 43.5 for about €4950. The 45.5 is about €7200, and I've not been able to find a retail price for the 42. Both the 42 and 45.5 are more expensive on the grey market than the 43.5 is on retail.

    My questions:
-Why is the 43.5 cheaper at retail than the two older models in grey market?
-Has something else changed between the models that I'm missing (other than size!)?
-Is the 8900 movement well regarded compared to the 8500?

    Thanks for looking!

Technically the 8900 is the newest, latest and greatest... No reason at all for the 8500s to be selling at a higher price. Here in the US I've seen ADs offering 30% off even a little more just to clear out old stock.

Thanks guys. It's been a bit of a mystery to me, but considering the newer 43.5 appears to be cheaper where I am at retail than any of the grey dealers that I've looked at, it seems to be a bit of a no brainer! 42mm-44mm is my sweetspot anyway! I was just concerned there was something I was missing!

You really can't look at retail vs grey market dealers. If anything compare AD's to ADs and grey to grey.
I don't see why anyone who wants a PO at this point in time wouldn't prefer the newer version unless the 43.5 is too big or they like the grey bezel better then the gloss ceramic.

You must have mixed something, there is no 45.5 with 8500 cal. for 7.200€?

I really didnt bother checking out the newer models until you mentioned the PO MC 43.5
so i visited the OB today. I was a little surprise to discover the dial like the bezel was polished black ceramic. Handsome watch i must say...The chronographs are of a different league ..

I love the all polished ceramic, gives it a clean look IMO.

The specs I found for the 232.32.46.21.01.005 state it has the 8500 movement? I'm uncertain as to the forum rules on linking to external dealer sites, so I won't put up the direct link. My local AD has that one priced at €7200 as of yesterday.

    Hi @markdh2007

Definately the model was erroneously tagged by an absentminded staff [IMG]
With an asking price of €7.2 K , Titanium casing + bracelet 45.5 Co Ax 9300 would have made more sense
    My impression ?[IMG]

Yes I agree, but that's a different animal compared to the 8500 grey.

    I see
I thought you meant grey dealer! Not the grey PO.

I thought you were saying that you don't see why anybody would want to 8500 PO at all versus the new master coaxials, and I was just commenting that the blue TI 8500 is still my favorite of the bunch, even including new the new ones
(Because the new blue one is steel and too heavy for me)

Oh no you did understand me correctly. But I separate the ti version from the regular grey ones. That blue Ti is one of the best for sure, love it. Also holds a premium price tag for the Ti as well :)

Check on Jomashop. Im thinking about getting the 42 mm from Jomashop $3750. Recommend getting it from grey market on the older models.

Personally I think you're better off getting a mint condition from a private sale. At least it would come with a warranty card. Omega no longer puts names on the cards, so the date and AD stamp is all you need. Anything over $500 bucks I like to have a warranty card, and never go grey... Just my 2 cents

Picked up this minty 42mm Ti used and an I am tickled blue with it. I have had a 2500 orange for a long time and love it. The blue titanium really complements it. I am really pleased with the fit, feel, and comfort. The longer reserve is a pleasure as well.
It is one of those watches that you stare at on you wrist when relaxing alone. Great daily wearer. Happy happy.

    @cicindela

Since we were looking at the same watch...I mean the EXACT same watch...I have to say it looks good. Now have you tried it on the mesh? Please post a pic!
