Planet Ocean 4,3mm: is it too shiny?

Hi,

I am relatively new to the forum and this is my first post (not considering some pictures I have posted)

One month ago I bought my first luxury watch: an Omega Planet Ocean 43,5mm in blue, a gorgeous watch, really love it. Before I bought it I was worried because everywhere I read that it is a huge and flashy watch. When I went to the OB and tried it on, I didn´t find that it was so big, heavy yes but confortable enough. The rest of my family didn´t know I was buying a new watch (I already have a Tissot PRX in blue) and I decided not to tell them and see how much time it took them to realize I had a new watch. Well, no one saw it, in fact I had to tell my wife after three weeks that I had a new watch and she told me she thought it was my Tissot that I was wearing!!

So, as a conclusion that I draw from this experience is that for us watch nerds this PO may be a flashy and conspicuos watch, but for the rest of the world who are not looking after watches, it is just another watch that can go unnoticed.

I think a majority of people dont pay any attention to what watch someone is wearing ... I am OK with that 😀

But now the cat is out of the bag and your wife will keep an eye out for further watch purchases.

great watch tho and wear it in good health!

Could it have been payback from your wife for not noticing when she got a new haircut?::stirthepot::

Even my orange & white one goes under the radar most of the time. It's a great piece, congrats!
