And at the same time, I’m no longer a customer, and likely to never be again...
Even after Time 4A Pint gets franchised, and you are featured on the new version of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous"? And then all who tuned in for free are moaning that they now have to pay treble for your excellent broadcast, and you say, "Hey, cut me some slack - you were getting a relative bargain for years!"
I find that surprising since I was under the impression that the original ST would be one of those Speedys that stayed fairly "limited".
Yes, I just did use that word when speaking about Omega lol. For some reason, I had a feeling that the ST would be a bit like the Silver Snoopy, but I guess it's nowhere close.
Should be interesting to see what changes are made.
Cheers.
Not sure I follow you, there have now been 2 Snoopy limiteds so that idea is hardly exclusive (and there were a whopping 5441, of the first version, 1970 of the second) vs one run of 2012 for the Speedy Tuesday and I sincerely doubt whatever follows in 2018 will simply be 'Speedy Tuesday II, the Revenge'. No what I expect is a Speedmaster with a totally different inspiration/tie in marketed the same way via social media and direct internet reservation ie side stepping the ADs and boutiques, no doubt to their annoyance.
The obvious move would be to do a Panda dial in 2018 to complement the reverse Panda of the ST and ride the Paul Newman/Panda dial wave. Fingers crossed we get some sort Meteorite dial variant either in 2018 or 2019.
It would really be nice to see them do something really new and exciting, rather than ad nauseum variations on the same theme. Easy to forget that before the Speedmaster....there was no Speedmaster. So, someone came up with a the groundbreaking idea and design. I certainly understand that it is safer for a big company to tweak a classic watch, but, come on, enough already...
