Got the same email as you, Chris. Shall I be worried about my reputation? 😵‍💫

Na. Youre good 👍

And at the same time, I’m no longer a customer, and likely to never be again...

Even after Time 4A Pint gets franchised, and you are featured on the new version of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous"? And then all who tuned in for free are moaning that they now have to pay treble for your excellent broadcast, and you say, "Hey, cut me some slack - you were getting a relative bargain for years!"

Even then.

In all seriousness Time 4A Pint isn’t getting handed over to anyone else to use as a brand name - I’m far too much of a control freak, to let anyone mess with my toys. 😉

I’m much more likely to spent the rest of my days scratching a living from small businesses that need help with their words.

Hi all,

First post here (I think), and typically I just lurk around and gather info and opinions, but I also got the "top of the queue" email. I did try reserving a Speedy Tuesday as soon as I heard about it, but of course they were all spoken for by then.

Anyway, at first I thought it was a fake/spam/phishing email, but it turned out to be legit. To investigate further, I then phoned my Omega sales rep who has been awesome over the past couple years, inviting me to special showings and fittings, etc, and has just been really helpful in general. He told me to forward the email to him and he would then contact the Omega HQ office to see if they had any more information about it.

Here's what he got back:

- Yes, there will be a Speedy Tuesday timepiece in 2018
- Date of release will be announced later this year.
- The timepiece will be announced later this year.
- The OMEGA Boutiques cannot take reservations.
- The best way for clients/fans to stay updated is to follow OMEGA on Instagram.

Of course, take that info with a grain of salt, but it looks like they're prepping to release an actual "follow up" to the ST. Maybe sort of a 2018 edition or something? I find that surprising since I was under the impression that the original ST would be one of those Speedys that stayed fairly "limited".

Yes, I just did use that word when speaking about Omega lol. For some reason, I had a feeling that the ST would be a bit like the Silver Snoopy, but I guess it's nowhere close.

Should be interesting to see what changes are made.

Cheers.

I received the same email as everyone else. I have decided I am only going to make one large (for me) watch purchase in 2018, which will probably be late in the year. So far the watches at the top of my list are from different brands. If the watch that this email is about is as nice as the Speedy Tuesday it may just move to the top of my list. It will be fun to see what it it is.

Not sure I follow you, there have now been 2 Snoopy limiteds so that idea is hardly exclusive (and there were a whopping 5441, of the first version, 1970 of the second) vs one run of 2012 for the Speedy Tuesday and I sincerely doubt whatever follows in 2018 will simply be 'Speedy Tuesday II, the Revenge'. No what I expect is a Speedmaster with a totally different inspiration/tie in marketed the same way via social media and direct internet reservation ie side stepping the ADs and boutiques, no doubt to their annoyance.

👍 100% agree. It would be an incredibly stupid move to repeat the Speedy Tuesday design in 2018. Omega almost certainly have their LE designs planned out for several years, certainly for 2019 as well. The obvious move would be to do a Panda dial in 2018 to complement the reverse Panda of the ST and ride the Paul Newman/Panda dial wave. Fingers crossed we get some sort Meteorite dial variant either in 2018 or 2019.

It would really be nice to see them do something really new and exciting, rather than ad nauseum variations on the same theme. Easy to forget that before the Speedmaster....there was no Speedmaster. So, someone came up with a the groundbreaking idea and design. I certainly understand that it is safer for a big company to tweak a classic watch, but, come on, enough already...

I agree but then would it be LE or a brand new amazing design that they limit what's the safe bet for the company. There are quite a few speedy LE's now so something brand spanking new would be amazing.

I got this from them when I started asking them if I could be in any of their upcoming lists

I guess what I meant was that I thought the Tuesday would approach the exclusivity of the second Snoopy (in that it would be really hard to find and reach a high desirability among Speedy fans). Maybe it will, but I'm getting the feeling the Tuesday will not approach the price levels the Snoopy 2 is asking. Especially now with talk of the ST hitting a "bubble".

Agree with you on the internet distribution for the 2018 release. The fact that boutiques can't reserve points to another online reservation release.
